European Godly Play Conference (EGPC). 


Friday 17 September –
Monday 20 September, 2010

The EGPC will take place at the beautiful Finnish lakeside venue of the Church Training College near Helsinki.

The conference will be suitable for beginners and the seasoned practitioner alike.

Conference fee is 360 euros per person.  The conference fee includes accommodation and meals.  Each participant will need to arrange their own travel to and from the conference venue.

We are delighted to welcome to the Conference
Rev. Dr. Jerome Berryman, creator of Godly Play. 
Rev. Berryman will be delivering the opening address and hold a sermon at the service on Sunday evening. 

Rev. Berryman has spent decades researching the function of religious language in child development. He holds degrees from the University of Kansas, Tulsa University School of Law, Princeton Theological Seminary, USA, and the Center for Advanced Montessori Studies in Bergamo, Italy. The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church, New York, has awarded him its Doctor of Divinity honoris causa in 2009.

J. Chattin McNichols teaches in the School of Education at Seattle University, USA. He is Chair of the Department of Teaching & Learning, and Director of the E.M. Standing Center for Montessori Studies.


Children's voice and Theology,  by Prof. Dr. Friedrich Schweitzer

F. Schweitzer is Professor of Religious Education and Practical Theology at the University of Tübingen, Germany.




Book Launch
We are very happy to announce that the European
publication of Volume 8 of the Complete Guide to
Godly Play will take place at the conference. This
volume concentrates on New Testament and some
of the stories will be presented in the workshops.
